Bio

JC has worked in Social Work in various capacities since 2015 when he began working for the Florida Department of Children & Families as an Abuse Counselor. He worked primarily with adolescents until he arrived at Tranquil Shores in 2022 as Client Support Staff. JC also served as the Assistant Support Staff Supervisor beginning in 2023 and is very excited to be stepping into a new role as Clinical Case Manager. Community is such an important part of successful recovery, and case management offers the perfect opportunity to connect clients with their local community resources. JC is also pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at the University of South Florida where he is focused on clinical practice in addiction treatment. 
 
JC is a native Floridian and a graduate of Florida State University (Go Noles!). In his spare time, JC is an avid musician with a strong background in musical theatre, and he currently sings regularly with the First Unity Voices. He lives his life by the Maya Angelou quote: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
