Alumni Meeting – Monday, August 4th at 7:00 pm

  1. Distributed minutes from the July meeting and reviewed August/September calendar of events

    2. Tentatively Volunteering for month of September – Trina P.
  3. Alumni Workshop Series
    1. Leigh S. will be doing “Theatre in Therapy” in month of September.
    2. September 10th- Time management; “Using Time Wisely”
  4. Alumni meeting for month of September will be pushed back to Sept. 8th due to the Labor Day holiday.
  5. Alumni in Action News Letter
    1. In addition to article agreements at July’s Alumni meeting, to be submitted by Aug. 25th & Will be reviewed at September
  6. Alumni Meeting
    1. Sarah Y. will contribute “Recovery Abroad”
    2. Trina P. will contribute “Finding Home”
    3. Leigh S. will contribute “Full Circle” for the winter newsletter.
  7. Alumni Contact List Update- Lynn will update and distribute updated contact list
  8. Group followed up with Lynn on updating and building contact list with alumni who have not been responding to recent alumni email blasts.
  9. Alumni Rotation Schedule
    1. Three month rotation schedule as opposed to two for better continuity
    2. September/October- Chair: Jamey K. Secretary: Bret A.
    3. Vote for new chair and secretary at October Alumni Meeting.
    4. New chairperson and secretary will begin on Nov. 3rd
  10. Community Event with Alumni and Clients
    1. Event will be offered Quarterly to Alumni to attend.
    2. Alumni will be notified by Lynn via email.
  11. Rules of attending workshops and Alumni Meeting
    1. Group voted at July meeting that if an alumnus relapses or “slips” that they will be welcomed after 90 days of continued sobriety.
    2. Group will reflect on the rule over the month of August and the topic will be revisited at the September Alumni Meeting.
  12. Next Meeting: The next Alumni meeting will be on Monday, September 8th at 7:00 pm
